I hope there’s somewhere nice to stop for tea
We’re gonna look around every corner until we
Find our prize
Try and keep your feet off my upholstery”

B-ROAD MOVIE!

We have always loved the work of Forkbeard Fantasy, who have trail blazed in the field of stage/film interaction. This combined with our love of the film Thelma and Louise was the inspiration behind B-Road Movie! Characters on film interacting with characters on stage allows you to create a larger cast of characters. You can play two characters on film directly addressing two characters on stage.

We toured a massive film projector which weighed a tonne. Working with film certainly has its hazards. Occasionally the film would stick and then melt. The show got shorter and shorter as we glued bits of film back. One day we went backstage to see our projector operator standing in a sea of celluloid as the projector spewed it out all over the stage. We had to send the audience out for an extended interval whilst we fixed it.

Fortunately audiences love things when they go wrong, it shows how live an experience theatre is!
