SYNOPSIS:

Enter Miss Gibbings – maiden aunt and amateur sleuth. On the surface a gossiping old busy body, but harbouring remarkable powers of detection which astound even the local constabulary.

In Knit One Murder One, the murder weapon is a seed cake made by spinster sleuth Hilda Gibbings. During our tour of the show our stage manager had to buy a seed cake for every performance. Half an hour before going on stage at South Hill Park in Bracknell, the prop seed cake was ACTUALLY stolen. A gang of youths broke into the theatre and ate it. An emergency replacement was required and curtain up was a little late. The thieves also stole a maid’s hat and Sue actually cut up her own bra to stitch a last minute replacement. Bracknell eh?!
